About
The house, the person, and the work.
Forgotten Trails is the home of two publications and a small handmade shop.
The person
Christine
Christine is a mother, a maker, and a homeschooler. She writes about real food, ancestral wisdom, unhurried childhood, and the things she makes by hand.
Christine Along the Way is the wider body of work. Forgotten Education is the focused homeschool publication for ages 4 to 8, built on Charlotte Mason, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf. The shop is where the handmade pieces live.
The house
Forgotten Trails Inc.
Forgotten Trails Inc. is the business behind the shop. It is the name on the receipts, the packaging, and the business records.
The house does not have a separate voice. Christine writes the publications and the shop copy.
The publications
Two questions, one writer.
Christine Along the Way is the flagship: real food, ancestral wisdom, homeschool, and handmade life.
Forgotten Education is the narrower question: Charlotte Mason, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf for ages 4 to 8.
The rule
How the work is sourced.
The house rule for the publications is simple. Statistics carry a number, a population, a year, and a link. Where something is a judgment rather than a fact, it says so.
No anecdotes that did not happen.
This is the same rule stated on the Forgotten Education About page. If the writing ever stops meeting it, the writing is wrong.
The shop
Handmade, natural materials.
The shop runs through Etsy, with natural-fibre clothing on Poshmark. Wreaths are made from a natural wood base, preserved moss, crystals, and dried botanicals. The stovetop potpourri is wildcrafted.
Prices, shipping, returns, and current stock live on the listing, where they stay current.
The site
Plain on purpose.
This site has no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no account system. It is a place to read, find the publications, and reach the shop.
